Lytmi Fantasy 3 TV Backlight Kit - Installation and First Impressions
Today, I want to share with you a new addition to my gaming setup that has truly transformed my gaming experience. As an avid gamer and a lover of immersive gameplay, I've always been on the lookout for ways to enhance my gaming environment without compromising on the visual quality. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Lytmi Fantasy 3, which is specifically designed for gamers. To be transparent with you guys, they kindly sent me a unit for free. I’ve not been paid to talk about my experience, this is my unbiased reaction.
In this blog post, I'll take you through the installation process and share my thoughts on how these lights have elevated my gaming sessions.
For years, I've wanted to install ambient lighting behind my TV. However, I hesitated due to concerns about the refresh rate and overall picture quality. That's when I discovered Lytmi LED lights. They’re a company that promises to deliver an exceptional gaming experience without sacrificing visual excellence. I received the Lytmi Fantasy 3 kit, which offers the flexibility to play games in either 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz, making it ideal for gamers like me who prioritise both aesthetics and performance.
Upon unboxing I was impressed by its sleek design and the thought put into its components. The package included a user manual, power brick, a USB-C connection, an HDMI box, and the LED light strips. The LED light strip is equipped with 72 LEDs per metre, ensuring a brighter and more brilliant light output compared to other TV backlight strips in the market.
The installation process was straightforward. I removed my TV from the wall and connected the Lytmi Fantasy 3 HDMI box to my TV's HDMI input. The LED light strip was mounted behind the TV. With four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, the Lytmi’s HDMI box served as both a light control system and an HDMI switcher, eliminating the need for additional devices.
Once everything was set up, I turned on my TV and witness the transformation. The LED lights created a mesmerising ambiance that emphasised the on-screen colors, providing a relaxing and immersive atmosphere. The Lytmi’s LED lights accurately reproduced the colors, with vividness and accuracy even on the edges of the screen. It was amazing to observe the lights automatically turning off during black scenes, further enhancing the visual experience.
To truly appreciate the lights' capabilities, I decided to test them during nighttime gaming sessions. The lights exceeded my expectations, delivering an impressive and captivating display. The colors appeared vibrant and true to life, offering a stunning visual treat. I thoroughly enjoyed watching videos and playing games with the Lytmi’s lights illuminating the background. They had a soothing effect on my eyes, allowing me to relax and fully immerse myself in the gaming experience.
While the LED lights provided an overall fantastic experience, there were a couple of minor issues. Occasionally, I noticed slight flickering at the top and bottom edges during scenes with strong colors. It was distracting, but it didn't happen often. Additionally, I encountered compatibility issues with my Xbox, which prevented proper gameplay. However, Lytmi’s worked flawlessly with my Nintendo Switch and PlayStation.
Without a shadow of a doubt the Lytmi Fantasy 3 has enhanced my gaming environment, creating a captivating and immersive atmosphere. The installation process was simple, and the lights performed well, delivering vibrant and accurate colors. Despite a few minor downsides, the Lytmi Fantasy 3 lights would be a worthwhile addition to any gamer's set up.
